Belgian scale-up DataCamp raises € 22 MILLION

The Belgian scale-up DataCamp raises 25 million dollars and multiplies its financing.

The series B round is led by Spectrum Equity. That fund also has URL manager Bit.ly in its portfolio. Accomplice (which previously invested in DataCamp) and Arthur Ventures also put money on the table.

DataCamp is an online learning platform for programming languages. The first lessons are free, and clients pay for the more advanced courses. With the capital injection, DataCamp wants to expand further worldwide, expand its range and improve its learning experience.

DataCamp has offices in Leuven, London and New York. In 2015 it participated in the TechStars program, after which it could raise an investment of 1 million dollars. A capital round of 4 million dollars followed in July 2017.
