The new funding will be used to consolidate existing markets and expand its leadership position in the European countries it operates in.

“DOCTENA is a unique European medical booking platform operating in multiple countries and has a unique knowhow”, says Patrick Kersten, CEO and founder. “Our cloud calendar solution is adapted to drive efficiency in everyday management of a medical practice. The medical team does not only save time when appointments are booked digitally. We help reduce no-shows up to 70%. Many empty slots, that would have stayed empty, are made available last minute to patients happy to get fast access to a treatment.”

Over 10.000 doctors use DOCTENA, representing 1,5 million medical visits every month, with many new users joining the platform.

“Patients are eager to embrace online bookings. With our last minute availability module, patients are informed real time of short-term vacancies and can fill any empty slot in the doctor’s agenda”

The DOCTENA cloud calendar solution has been uniquely developed to embrace organizational rules inside the practice. The advantages for the medical practices are many. Less time is spent on the phone. The practices experience higher attendance of patients due to systematic reminders. The patient satisfaction and retention are the focus.

In Germany, 28% of population have already used online booking, whilst 59% would like to have access to it. Yearly satisfaction surveys amongst DOCTENA patients show satisfaction rates of up to 97%.

According to studies, up to 10% of appointments are lost every week – a not negligible loss of the revenue for practices. With maturing technologies, it is clearly the right moment to tackle these inefficiencies. “Patients are eager to embrace online bookings. With our last minute availability module, patients are informed real time of short-term vacancies and can fill any empty slot in the doctor’s agenda” complements Patrick Kersten. “… to the great satisfaction of both the patient and the doctor.”
