New online community for Digital Innovation Hubs to collaborate

DIHNET aims to be a network of networks, offering an online platform for discussion, sharing and collaboration between all Digital Innovation Hubs and key related stakeholders in Europe.

Digital Innovation Hubs are support structures that play a key role in helping companies -especially small and medium-sized enterprises- to digitise their businesses and make the most of new technologies.

Since the Digitising European Industry initiative was launched by the European Commission in 2016, European and regional actions have been supporting the development of Digital Innovation Hubs across Europe. As a result, many different networks of DIHs have emerged in the past few years.

The EU-supported project DIHNET is now creating an online community to bring all these hubs and networks together. The idea is to help DIHs and related stakeholders to meet, exchange, discuss and identify which of their missing expertise can be found in other DIHs across the EU. This is a way to foster collaboration among hubs, so that they can better serve SMEs and facilitate their access to digital solutions, even when a given hub does not have that specific infrastructre or knowledge in-house.

The DIHNET community is complementary to the DIH catalogue, where all hubs around Europe are mapped and registered in a sort of yellow pages to enable collaboration across Europe.
