2018 Tech Startup Day Awards nominees announced – it’s time to vote!

For the third year in a row, Startups.be will be handing out awards to startups that had a remarkable track record last year. Our jury proposes a shortlist in five categories, and it’s up to you, the Belgian startup community, to decide about the winners!

Those winners will be announced during Tech Startup Day on March 15, at The Egg in Brussels. Voting is open until March 4th at 11 PM.

After much deliberation, our professional jury – composed of Omar Mohout (Sirris), Frank Maene (Volta Ventures), Simon Alexandre (The Faktory), Benny Debruyne(Trends), Isabel Michiels (Agoria), Olivier Peeters (BNP Paribas Fortis) and Jérome Constant – proposed a shortlist in five categories. They retained five startups in each category.

“Our start-up scene is thriving, more and more companies are distinguishing themselves on the international stage”, says Frederik Tibau of Startups.be. “We should be proud of that Belgian talent, that’s why we put our start-ups in the spotlight with our Tech Startup Day Awards. Our jury found it difficult to create shortlists in five categories, because the list with high-profile companies that are doing a great job is getting longer every year.”

Of course, there are some very interesting prizes to win. Among them a free seat on one of our top notch international GoGlobal missions to the US, the Middle East or Asia, flex desks for one year at BeCentral, coaching sessions by the jury, 2-year ‘Webhosting Expert’-packages courtesy of Combell, a 6-month seat at the Belcham-offices in New York or San Francisco (Pulse Foundation), and many more.
