STARTUP OLÉ 2018: THE EUROPEAN ENTREPRENEURIAL ECOSYSTEM GATHERS AGAIN IN SALAMANCA

The fourth edition of Startup Olé will take place at Hospedería and Colegio Fonseca, Salamanca, Spain, from 17^th to 19^th of April. Again, all the European entrepreneurial ecosystem will gather in a single venue to do some meaningful networking and to boost the European tech landscape.

Startup Olé is supported by the European Commission-Startup Europe, and it connects startups and innovative SMEs with corporates, investors, accelerators, universities, public administrations and media outlets from all over Europe. Startup Olé 2018 edition will gather more than 7.000 participants from over 70 countries, 500 startups (more than 70% European/international) and 80 investors with an investment portfolio of over €10K M. In addition, Startup Olé is supported by corporates and public entities such as EUROPEAN COMMISSION, UNIVERSITY OF SALAMANCA, IBERDROLA, GAS NATURAL, KPMG, SANTA LUCIA IMPULSA, RTVE, RENFE, CORREOS, ONCE, AMAZON WEB SERVICES, TRINITY COLLEGE DUBLIN, DELOITTE or EIT DIGITAL. Thanks to a constant and ever-increasing growth Startup Olé has become a benchmark event for the European tech entrepreneurial ecosystem.

New features for this 2018 edition include a new section in Spanish in collaboration with RTVE ImpulsaVisión devoted to media & entrepreneurship. Also, Startup Olé will have India and Panamá as invited regions, aiming to strengthen links between Europe and two of the most innovative regions of the world. In addition, Startup Olé will host a meeting of Startup Europe LATAM Assembly, a Startup Europe initiative whose goal is to close the gap between European and Latin American ecosystems.

Startup Olé will have a programme full of activities such as a startup fair, pitching competition, matchmaking and lots of meaningful networking, it will also host meetings of Startup Europe networks such as Accelerator Assembly, Startup Europe Universities Network and Startup Europe Nations High Level Group.

All in all, Startup Olé has become an inspiration for the European entrepreneurial ecosystem and a must-attend event for all entrepreneurial-techies, accelerators, investors and corporates.
