BUCHAREST (Romania), (SeeNews) – US-based multinational online transportation network Uber Technologies Inc. said on Tuesday that it will introduce upfront pricing in Romania starting Wednesday.
This way, passengers will be shown the exact fare before calling for a ride, the company said in a press release.
So far, passengers were only shown an estimated cost of the ride.
The price takes into account the distance to the final destination and the estimated time based on historical traffic values.
Also, the Uber app will let the user know when prices are increased as a result of high demand.
Uber is active in four Romanian cities: Bucharest, Cluj, Brasov and Timisoara.
